KOWLOON CITY under British Control now and all quiet. Japanese are confined to certain areas and will bo disarmed tomorrow. They are being allowed to keep a certain number of rifles por barracks in caso of attack by Chine se or bandits.

There are a certain number of armed troops from Chungking in Kowloon area but I have not been able to contact them personally to ascertain their num bor. They are not causing any trouble at present and claim to be on our side.
